Igneous

Igneous is a tall, lanky wolf. He is a noble leader, but his packmates say that he is fairly harsh and doesn't like it if things go his way. Despite this, he is seen as fair and forgiving. He was born in the mountain ranges to the South, in the Silent Valley Pack, which is now abandoned. His mother, Caldera, and father, Rain Caller, adored him when he was younger, though when he was an adolescent, his parents grew disinterested in him. This was heartbreaking for young Igneous, as he could never find out what he did wrong.

He remained in that pack until he was a yearling, then he left. He never turned back. He wandered into the Conifers to the North. He walked and walked for hours, yet couldn't find his way out. It was nighttime before he found his way out. It was darker than what he was used to, his eyes couldn't adjust. It felt like things were running all around him, beyond whatever vision he had. After getting cut all the way down his right side, he ran and hid under a fallen log. He stayed like that until dawn, though he was haunted all night by sounds of giggling and things walking right beside him.

The next day, he found Shade Under Cliff. The two stuck together instantly, as they had both been stuck in this hell for a while. Together, they built a large wall of brambles to shield their future pack from whatever was out there. Hunting is difficult, but they make it work, somehow.

After a year together, the two wolves had raised a small family together. They had had three pups but only one made it to adulthood, his name was Crow Under Sky, a sleek black and grey wolf with blazing yellow eyes. Igneous had taken Crow hunting one day and they were attacked by something. Crow didn't make it. Igneous was too cowardly to help his son. He is haunted daily by the images of the bloodied, mangled body of his beloved son.

Since then, Igneous vowed to help any wolf that entered the Conifers, so far, he has built a strong, resilient, and loyal pack. Igneous couldn't be more proud of the wolf he has became. He only wishes that he could show his parents where he is now.
