A small wolf unwanted by his pack. A common sight by now, and Serapis welcomed the youngster to his new pack.
He was admired by everyone, as he was a very pretty boy. He happily settled and named himself Janus, on account of his dual coloured eyes.
As Janus remained in the pack, and others continued looking at him, he started seeming… familiar?
Of course, they were getting used to him in their lives, but they all swore it was something else. Something about him was reminding him of another wolf.
How could he be? Contact between their packs and others existed, despite being limited, but the young boy was from a pack pretty far away, somewhere Serapis didn't go very often.
The pup bonded closely with Apophis, and right away some similarities were noticed between the two. They both had a similar look in their eyes. Comparisons were made with siblings. All of Saga's children had the same look as Apophis, although no one was able to properly describe it. He couldn't be one of Saga's pups. Saga was sure of it, and her children agreed with her. Despite some not seeing estranged siblings in years they would recognise them.
More comparisons were made. The something in Janus's eyes was similar to that of Bau, Skaði, Meztli, Mehet-Weret, Arke, Erebus, Dagda, Pasithea… basically the grandchildren of Saga. This wasn't as helpful as thought, however, because all of Saga's kids who had children absolutely did not remember Janus popping out of them, or their partner. Everyone was completely stumped until Serapis, extremely disappointed, reminded them that Khonsu was a Stud.
The realisation was bittersweet. They were all idiots, but at least the mystery was solved! Janus was surprised to meet his father, and Khonsu was surprised to meet this particular son.
