Kor's father, Cinath, did not believe in the benefit of living with huz'vars. Plagued by nightmares as a pup himself, he fed his daughter suppressant herbs. After her father's treason came out, she was taken off the herbs, and as a young adolescent, had to live with the results of her own stunted talents. They're still trying to develop, she can tell, but she can also tell that they will never become what they could have, should she not have experienced the interference of her father.

She hasn't entirely made peace with everything, but at least she can trust her aunt and second-in-command, Rogelar, who has equally strong Sight, to help her guide the pack in matters of the Huz. In the meanwhile, she can focus her attentions on the more tangible side of managing Fen, the vi'huz.

Kor does not entirely remember the events that led up to her father's public maiming. She does know that her uncle Sanneak was her and Rogelar's most trusted advisor, in those chaotic early days. Now that the pack is slowly descending into Cinath's legacy of mistrust, doubts, and hateful glances from the shadows, she wishes he could come back from his travels more often, but as he said, he can't do so without stirring even more unrest. And she sees that, she really does, but it just all feels like it's too much, sometimes.

She's frustrated, and she can feel her huz'vars growing restless, too. Lately, she's started glowing, from various spots on her body. It scares some of her pack, which is doubly frustrating, because she can't help it, and as far as she can tell, the spots don't even do anything.
