Bolt instructed Yin Yang to be careful with herbs, as not all the parts could be used for medicines and it was also dependent on their growth cycle. Yin Yang learned when and where to gather the most necessary herbs.
Yin Yang was confused when she could catch the same scent in several spots, but Bolt's smirk explained it all. It was one of those tricky lessons and Yin Yang did everything to prove she was smart enough to track prey effectively.
Yin Yang practiced her voice in a remote spot, a bit ashamed to howl in front of other pups and adults. She didn't feel ready yet.
Timing is key when working with others so that you don't get in their way. Yin Yang learned that being first sometimes means that you're the first one that gets scolded by Bolt if something goes wrong.
During the lesson: For small prey, Bolt explained claws are your best asset. He demonstrated to Yin Yang that there are ways to pin prey down and kill with a small bite to the neck, rather than trying to bite the entire piece of prey and ruining it.
Bolt asked the class to prepare tiny gifts today for every packmate and practice graciousness even if the gift is rejected. Yin Yang enjoyed getting to know her packmates better through the gift giving.
