Biography
future decor/bg
Born after a miraculously short pregnancy, he and his littermates were… average.
He was mocked for being pretty basic looking, nothing like some of the other stunning wolves in the pack. His parents, Ahti, and Iðunn would assure him that he was beautiful. Loki would agree with the mockers, but then assure the younger that he didn't mind having such an ugly wolf as a brother, and they'd all be punished by the next Pack Leader. Thor would laugh along, feeling the kindness behind his brother's words.
Tara had told the pack that she was sensing the passing of the Dreamlands, where the doorways between the worlds would close again. Thor was devastated. He desperately wanted to go there, maybe even change like Khonsu.
Well, he was newly weaned and full of bad ideas.
Lunar essence was not hard to find, nor was it hard to hide. So what if he wasn't allowed to travel to the Dreamlands alone? He would be safe, and it would be worth it.
Looking up at the clear night sky, he felt himself cross over, right in the middle of a storm. Rain pelted everything in range, lightning ripped the sky apart, howling winds blocking more than one sense. Thor, small heart racing, tried to find cover while staying away from trees.
There! A fallen log, with enough space below to fit a small body. Squinting against the elements, Thor guided his body forwards, towards safety. He was almost there…
Immense pain, emanating from his back but quickly spreading fire through his veins. Darkness rapidly closing in on the small wolf dragging himself towards shelter.
He awoke to blurry greens and red. Buzzing solidified above him, morphing into the familiar voices of father, and Uncle Agni. This roused the pup, eyes focusing on the forms of the two elders, confusion when the two recoiled slightly.
"Dad? Uncle?" Thor managed to say. "What's wrong?"
Agni looked in shock at his brother, while Serapis directed his shock at the pup.
"Thor?" He asked, looking back at Agni when Thor affirmed.
"What happened?" Asked the Herbalist, voice quiet.
"Storm. Lightning."
Wait… what happened to me?
He verbalised this thought, which was met with another look between the adults.
"Well, you're… different." Agni said, slowly.
"Different how?" Thor asked, slightly vibrating with excitement, and praying the adults didn't notice.
"You're… blue." Serapis responded, and Thor was unable to conceal his pure excitement.
Okay… so it was slightly different to Khonsu's blueness, but he was still blue, and that's all that mattered.
Loki was the first one to notice Thor's eyesight problems. The two had been spending lots of time together, Serapis believing his youngest would get into less trouble if he spent time with the lazy eldest.
This gave the immortal one a front row viewing of his youngest brother increasingly having to squint at things. Eventually he called it, and addressed the mortal one.
"Okay, what's wrong with your eyes?" He asked, causing the younger to jump.
Upon closer inspection, Thor's eyes weren't the same blue they had been. Where they had one mirrored Loki's twin, they more closely resemble their father. Purple.
"It must have been the Dreamlands." Loki reasoned to his panicking brother. "They gave Khonsu a new make-over."
"But he didn't suffer vision loss!" Cried Thor.
"His mother was Saga. Her weirdo genes may have protected him."
"But this means I'll no longer be eligible for heir!"
Loki sighed. "Okay, fine. I'm telling Iðunn, if you're scouting with her she needs to know."
Thor agreed, knowing their sister would keep this a secret.
Thor didn't want to question why his eyesight was suddenly better, figuring that that would either curse him, making it get worse, or the other pack members would learn and take away his chances of being the Pack Leader.
While his sight had improved, they were aching, and he was extremely thirsty.
The cave was quiet as he snuck out, making sure to not disturb any of the wolves in surrounding caves as he crept to the river. The water was cool, and soothed the pain in his head.
While lapping up the water, a fish leaped from the water and hit his face. Startled, he opened his eyes and watched as the water stilled. Then he was able to see his reflection… he needed to wake Loki.
