known within the pack for his confidence and acute judgement (and loud mouth), auburn is a decisive wolf. when hans called on him to scout out a new territory, though, he hesitated. it would be hard, dangerous work, and he'd be away from the pack for lonely stretches of time. he had to choose whether he trusted hans to lead well, despite his humble backgrounds. in the end, he went for it, and became the pack's first scout, running for hours through the prairie. it was a decision that challenged his selfish nature, and his choice to have faith in hans and in the future of the pack has cemented his role in its legacy.
