A competent and friendly dog, he befriended Rhanza with ease - perhaps too much ease. on their way back to the headquarters of highhowl, the two wolves paced each other perfectly, and their every interaction was either jubilant or very suddenly very uncomfortable, as the two's attitudes aligned so squarely that they often couldn't bounce off each other and would either both go quiet or both take the lead.
Before they could reach highhowl, however, the hopeful loner made a too ambitious move defending himself and his new friend from a pack of coyotes, pouncing onto snow that was looser than it had seemed and toppling away with the small pack. His grace paid off though as he landed with little injury and collected himself when the coyotes scattered, but now far from the path Rhanza had been leading him on, and flanked by slick vertical stone.
Rhanza was perhaps relieved that another "type A personality" wouldn't be interjected into his struggling young clan, but the suspicion that greeted him when he returned home with an unfamiliar wolf's scent but no new companion would be a quick karmic clapback.
Hopefully for this wolf, though, another amiable soul and perhaps a better established pack might stumble upon him here ...
