Fenris had Moonfall's heart since the beginning, and she had his. The mortal wolf didn't know what about him could make a goddess give up her immortality for him, but he was glad it was her.
Fenris and Moonfall started a pack in the deciduous forest, moving their pack around a bit before settling in the grasslands. Their pack grew stronger with each day, ready to face any challenge.
Any challenge, that is, until wolves started disappearing. Strange rumors spread fear through the packs and territories.
Fenris was on a hunting mission when he got separated from the rest of his team by a thick fog that set in out of nowhere. When he first saw the glowing balls of light, he thought he was seeing things. Fenris stepped closer to them out of curiosity, and the balls of light swarmed around him.
The next day, Fenris was announced missing, along with another from his hunting party.
