Cay wasn't chosen as the pack's next leader, and that stung. Even her brother's future wasn't guaranteed, as their mother was pregnant again. Queen Nazhauus wanted only the best for her pack, but that didn't mean that Cay would want to stay once she was gone. So she set out for adventure, as was tradition.
Before long, she found another pack in the Mountains, one just a touch larger than her own birth-pack, looking for new scouts. This I can do, she thought. And she stayed.
They even let her keep her title, though with them, it didn't mean much anymore.
