Misted Sight (Mist-eyes)
Small, black and brown she-wolf with a white undercoat and grey eyes.
Wise, intuitive, playful, witty, determined, clever, cautious, moralistic, anxious, stubborn, assertive, dignified
Mist-eyes had left her old home far behind after her old pack had been struck by distemper, leaving behind her, her sister Snow, and three other yearlings— a brother and sister and one other male— to fend for themselves. As they journeyed through the mountains for a new place to call home, the illness haunted their group, forcing them to leave the brother-sister pair behind, and driving the other male from the group out of fear. The final blow came when an infected lone wolf attacked them, leaving Snow with an injury which proved a fatal blow. Both sisters grew ill, but while Mist-eyes began to feel better, Snow only got worse, and on the day they were to leave the mountain range for good, she passed away. After burying her body at the base of their homeland, Mist-eyes fled, full of sorrow for her lost loved ones and fury at her helplessness to keep them alive. She traveled as a lone wolf with no direction other than east, as far east as she could get, intent on escaping the pain of her past and avoiding any new connections that could only lead to loss. When she came upon an oak forest with two wolves who seemed to know far more about her than they should have, the solutions she had found to avoid her pain no longer seemed to work— the faster she ran away, the quicker she came back to the start. Finally, when tragedy struck in a way that brought back too vividly those she had tried to leave behind, she's forced to face the destiny she thought she had escaped.
