Gwawriad

Gwawriad is a cheerful, round-faced, down-to-earth wolf who just wants to see the pack under his care flourish and grow. With his mother busy hunting and his father mostly wrapped up in his duties (and, later in life, increasingly reserved) Gwawriad was largely raised by his pupsitter, Brandywine. Much of Gwawriad's laid-back personality comes from Mama Brandy's upbringing, and he picked up a touch of her accent and diction as well, which he wears with pride.

Born at the latter end of Mirzam's life, Gwawriad saw firsthand as his father's pride and ambition brought him nothing but misery. Instead of going down that devil's path, Gwawriad is determined to shape the ragged remains of the Heralds into a happy, loving family once again. His fondest memories are of catching fish in the river, ambling through the mountains and tasting sweet and sour blackberries, and frolicking over hill and dale through other pups. That, he believes, is the key to the Heart of All that his father believed in: the simple joys of youth, love, and family. There's something beautiful in the core of that faith, and he'll hold to it. It's not worth abandoning. But the heart is found in joy, not sorrow--and humble pleasures, not prophecies about the end times, are the best way to sway a voice to sing.
