Tamsen

Tamsen is a coyote that left the Green Sky pack when they merged with the Garden Keepers. While Dervish was more amenable to a nomadic wolf-like lifestyle, Tamsen could never leave behind her wanderlust and wanted to see more of the world.

Leaving Missouri at the pack merging, she traveled west towards Colorado, planning to head towards Wyoming for Yellowstone. On the way, she ran into a pair of wolves from No Man's Land and Ireland on their way to California just before the Rockies. Figuring three could make the journey much easier, Tamsen joined forces with the pair, Jack and Faelad. Taken by Jack's charm, Tamsen abandoned her original plan to head to Yellowstone and joined the pair on their journey to California. While summiting the formidable Sierra Nevada mountains in the dead of winter, the trio was separated in a blinding blizzard. Faelad and Jack found each other the next day when the blizzard cleared, but after a full day of searching they never found Tamsen and were forced to move on by the threat of another raging storm.

Meanwhile, Tamsen found shelter while they were separated and was buried by the snow. By the time she dug herself out, Jack and Faelad had left the mountains. Assuming they had abandoned her, Tamsen struck out on her own once again, swearing off any alliance.

Years later, Tamsen was continuing her journey to see all the world's natural phenomena and made her way to the eastern Florida coast for hurricane season. She got what she wanted, a monster of a category 3 hurricane and she was forced to find shelter. Much to her surprise, the battered human shack she found was already occupied... by Jack, Faelad, and a familiar pack.

Unable to leave due to the howling cyclone, they were forced to confront the misunderstanding that occurred years before in the Sierra Nevadas. In that time Tamsen learned that Dervish had passed away and coincidence led the scouts to find and recruit Jack, Faelad, and a new shy Honshu wolf named Ryutaro. But they knew what Poppy and Dervish would've wanted, and that was a fellow coyote at the helm of the Garden Keepers. It was then that Tamsen decided that her leadership would be the best way to honor her now passed alpha and she assumed the mantle of the Garden Keepers.
