Aros

Aros was the last pup of the First Leader Ambrose and his mate Rosa.

After the death of Ambrose, the pack erupted into chaos. Two of Aros's half siblings, Needle and Ichor, were also in contention for leadership and had more experience and strength over the barely adult wolf. Aros's claim, however, was supported by two of the most influential members in the pack - Guster and Meander, his full blooded siblings and the first offspring in the Axials. The two aging wolves helped Aros see off his rivals and claim the title of Pack Leader.

To secure his position, Aros took in a mother and her young pup (Juniper and Grimes), and later two roaming wolves (Wyrtgeorn and Hygd). Juniper quickly rose to become a high ranked pack member and Grimes grew to become a keen bodyguard for Aros. Wyrtgeorn grew to be popular amongst most female (and some male) pack members, and Hygd wooed Aros, eventually becoming his mate. It was through these additions to the pack that Aros finally secured his reign against his rivals.

Aros is rather passive aggressive. As a pup, most adult wolves found him a pain in the arse. As a leader, he wields sarcasm as a dagger against insufferable wolves (which turns out to be most wolves). He definitely prefers to survey his lands and chase off opportunistic wolves than actually lead his pack. However, unlike his father, he keeps a close eye and ear on his subjects and makes good use of those he trust to keep the peace.
