Biography
Zeus [zoos] was the sixth and final child of the titan of time, Kronos and his sister (ik ew) Rhea. Kronos was cursed by his father, Ouranos that Kronos' children would cut him into a thousand tiny little pieces and cast into Tartarus (the Bottomless Pit), so doing what any regular person would, he ate every one of his children to stop this from happening. All except Zeus, of course.
Kronos was fed a rock instead of the baby Zeus, and the young god was sent to be raised by nymphs (woodland entities). When Zeus was of age, he was sent to Kronos' palace atop Mt Othrys with a concoction to give to the titan. When Kronos drunk this, he regurgitated all five previous children, Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades and Poseidon, and together with Zeus they set up camp on the second tallest (and now tallest) mountain in Greece, Mt Olympus.
A 10 year war waged and the gods ended up on top. Just as his father predicted, Kronos was sliced and diced into a thousand little pieces and cast into Tartarus. Zeus distributed rule over the 3 realms (Underworld, sea and sky) among him and his brothers, Hades and Poseidon.
