Failing to have any of his own progeny, Hemlock adopted a young Sashenka from Lillemor's enclave. She was helping the mother bear to care for the younger batches of pups-- even still as a pup herself. He saw a great potential in her and took her home, to Iolanthe's delight.
In her adolescence, Sashenka trained with Iolanthe to take up the helm as leader of a hunting band. However, it wasn't her calling. Not yet, at least. She began going out on scouting missions with Isbre, much to Hemlock's dismay. Although he can't garner much trust for the lunar male, he can't discredit his training prowess.
Physically strong, Sashenka is now an accomplished scout for the pack. She spends a majority of her time in the southern reaches, most notably the deepest parts of the rainforest.
