Jethro was destined for the throne since birth; son of previous King Enkidu and his mate Cacao. Enkidu's reign was cut short as to allow his son to rule as soon when he was of age, as Enkidu's health was declining and he no longer felt fit for the role.
Jethro boasted unique eye and marking combinations, which proved him to be the perfect stud heir. He received special training and guidance from the most respected and knowledgeable wolves of the pack. This helped ensure Jethro was truly fit to be a king and take on the role of caring for the pack. Loved by all the elders and young wolves alike, Jethro has always been kind and very confident in his abilities, as a fair ruler should be.
Queen Keahi is the only wolf not entirely enthralled by Jethro's position as king, but she knows he is not a bad wolf and has the packs best interest at heart. The queen had to work hard for her seat on the throne, whereas Jethro was born into royalty.
While king and queen wolves are sometimes mates in the Quiver Valley pack, the two positions are decided on separately, so the royals may be mates with whoever they wish.
