Biography
Andromeda
[She/Her]
Quick Warning, Andromeda's story has mentions of death
Andromeda was the largest pup of her litter, the best yet plainest of 4, with powerful hind legs and a lanky build; she was practically destined to become one of the best chasers in her pack. She had held this expectation in very high regard, not stopping her chaser's training in hopes of achieving a higher rank in the pack. A high rank meant safety and security after one's prime years. Yet something went wrong during her childhood, and every wolf of her bloodline was removed from the pack, only a truly horrible offense would warrant such a punishment. Cleansing the pack of a 'dirty' lineage.
Her father had disappeared shortly after the exile, rambling about how he was going to prove them wrong, that he hadn't caused the disappearance of the Beta. Andromeda was left with her mother, siblings, and aging relatives; trying to survive off of the harsh environment of the Tundra. Their numbers quickly dwindled from constant attacks from other wolf packs and coyotes alike, it didn't help that spring came along and brought with it infectious and deadly disease. The deadly ramage left only Andromeda and her grieving mother, whose grief left her unmoving and ill. She urged Andromeda to move towards the warming biomes, not bothering to add on that she wouldn't be joining her. Andromeda already knew that she wouldn't go.
Andromeda was near death when Erde and Azahar found her, washed up on the shores of a river. The inexperienced Alphas were more than happy to allow her to live with them, needing many more members before they were truly secure. They only asked that she would watch over their future pups once they arrived; without hesitation she accepted, after all, it was the least she could do. So she watched the birth of Quailcrest, from its infant stages to the more developed ones. Andromeda has seen it all, and she knows all that's happened too.
Perhaps it was an accident, out of pity, or the primal urge to secure a good future for her offspring, but she ended up carrying Erde's pups. She had tried to hide it for as long as she could, feigning ignorance whenever she was asked why she spent so much time hiding away in the secure Pup Den when there were no pups. Yet she couldn't hide the new yips of a new litter. Azahar was fuming. 2 healthy pups were nothing compared to Andromeda's gorgeous and healthy litter of 4. It was such wonderful news in the pack, more pups! The pack's future! The only thing that would turn attention away from it would be a tragedy.
She'd lost 3 pups. Andromeda took Gingersnap out of the forested area to the river, intent on cleaning her only daughter of the honey she'd managed to get into. When she returned there was nothing but a bloodstain on a nest of moss, and a subpar attempt of rubbing fox-scent over the den. Azahar didn't even try to hide her bloodied claws. Andromeda was furious and distraught, yes, but she couldn't just act out towards an Alpha. So with an extremely cautious eye on Gingersnap and constant hateful glowering towards Azahar, she bode her time. And it truly paid off, with Azahar's second litter came 2 more pups, and Andromeda didn't hesitate to point out that they didn't look at all like Erde, and in fact must be the fake pups of old tales. They weren't, Andromeda knew well, they were a mix of the wrong genes, yet this opportunity was too good to pass up; finally being able to give Azahar the taste of the grief she had felt.
Andromeda would ponder to herself once more, sitting tentatively in the corner of the Pup Den, just how Azahar would react if she had another litter of pups. A dangerous thought crossed her mind,
"Just how far can I go?"
