Biography
My calm in the storm...
Lord Hadrianus, or Adrien for short, has lived many years and seen many things. Having rose from the ground before man-kind even knew what fire was, he watched humans grow and change, living along-side them.
His most influential time was during the Roman Empire, where he learned many things. He'd known of the brutality of man for a long time, but it was here where he learned of man's imagination. Adrien learned of the Roman Gods, and though they were taken from the Greeks, that's how man worked. Stealing ideas from one place just to change them and make them their own.
During his time with the Romans, he met another like himself. He'd named himself Argyros. What a cocky bastard, he was... Fresh to the world, unknowing to the responsibility of the powers he possessed. Adrien didn't approve of him. He despised him, and yet, because they were similar, young Argyros stuck around, insistent on pestering Adrien.
Adrien merely tolerated his presence, but as time went on, he found himself taking a liking to the man. He called himself a god, but Adrien knew he was nowhere close... Not yet. No... For he still had a long ways to go.
The two grew close, speaking almost nightly. Until... The war. Argyros went on and Adrien fled. They'd figure they'd never see each other again, and so it seemed that was how it'd stay.
Nonetheless, roughly 2,500 years later, they'd met at an unlikely place. Adrien hadn't recognized the strong man that Argyros had become. No longer was he an arrogant boy, but a proper, yet still proud man.
Adrien hadn't changed much in that time, only hardening himself more, refusing to love. His heart had grown cold and icy, nothing able to crack through.
Argyros's clingy and insistent nature had never changed, and so, Adrien tolerated him and let him stay around. Adrien was adamant that they were no longer close, but Argyros knew different.
With his warmth, he melted Adrien's cold heart and they once more grew just as close as they had been all those years ago, if not more. Adrien learned to love once again, and it was Argyros that his heart yearned for. He was the only one he wanted.
It wasn't long before the two became inseparable, bound by a love so strong, not even the gods could break it. They vowed never to leave each other again, making a promise that they'd stick by each other's sides for the rest of eternity.
That is the story of Lord Hardianus and Lord Argyros.
