Beckett

Beckett was adopted at a young age by Marius and Courier. All he remembers before that is a kindly bear, and the roaring chatter of his fellow pups.

Artemy, the pack's herbalist, decided to mentor him to take his role, aware that his life would soon be coming to a close. Beckett was excited at the prospect of being so integral to the pack, and put his all into his work, even if at times he could be a bit over-eager.

Artemy envied him for his youthfulness and enthusiasm, and it reminded him of the days he and Grief shared oh so long ago.

His death understandably hit the poor adolescent hard, it having been the first death he's had to experience. He found the funeral rituals were like a balm to his hurt, but they didn't take it all away. His fathers comforted him as best they could, trying their best to raise his spirits, but this wound was one that would take time to heal.

Not only that, but now he was also expected to step-up as the new herbalist, the title now suddenly making him anxious. He felt as if he wasn't ready, but Artemy trained him for this, and no one in the pack was more capable of taking the role than him, now. It felt silly, because he knew why Artemy had been looking to take an apprentice on in the first place. And yet, knowing something and experiencing it are two completely different things, he's come to find out.

Regardless of how he feels now, though, he has to work. The pack depends on him.
