Moss is a quiet wolf that's more of a listener than a talker. She's obedient to those of higher ranks than her, but was rebellious against her parents, especially her mother. Although of Moss' obedience to her packmates, Moss usually prefers to use her version of right and wrong to make decisions— in other words, she likes doing things her way. And if that's something she can do, it's something she will do. Moss is very adventurous, and loves discovering new things or new areas.
Moss' mother and father were Raine and Blaze respectively. Moss usually tried to avoid her mother, but it barely works unless she goes off of pack territory. Raine was extremely overprotective, and Blaze didn't care enough to do anything about it, which led to her disliking both of them.Her two littermates, Alpine and Nymph, went along their own way together to look for another pack to join. Moss considered joining them, but thought against it because she was satisfied with the life and relationships she built within the pack. Since Raine and Blaze's passings, Moss was the only one in the pack left of her family.
Moss was told by Willow to show Silvermoon around pack territory when he first joined, and they hit it off quickly. As she looked for any reason to talk with him or get his attention, she started to realize her feelings weren't fully platonic. She confessed her feelings for Silvermoon, but was quickly rejected.
