Biography
(contains death, blood, creepy text letters that might be hard to read (they say Delilah!) and other small bits of violence, please do not read if you are sensitive to these things!)
"I promise, just a little further, then you can rest!" The young adult cried, urging the mother to keep moving, frantic breath and worried glances around them as they kept going from the other's territory. "Here, here!" The mother yelped and with one last glance backwards , ̸̌͊̆D̸͍͇̳̼̍͊͊̿ẹ̷͚͔̱̩͕̊l͍̼̗ͨͭ͂ͥ͠i̵̤̺͋ḽ̶̬̗̩͍̥͎͛̀̚ạ͍̓̀ͅh͕̣͕̭̪̘̫̱́̿́ ̶̺̭͙ͩ̾̎̀ ushered the mother into a small hollow filled with moss.
Some time passed. The sniffles of three pups filled the small den, D̸͍͇̳̼̍͊͊̿ẹ̷͚͔̱̩͕̊l͍̼̗ͨͭ͂ͥ͠i̵̤̺͋ḽ̶̬̗̩͍̥͎͛̀̚ạ͍̓̀ͅh͕̣͕̭̪̘̫̱́̿́ ̶̺̭͙ͩ̾̎̀ focused on the mother and pups. A harsh growl filled the area and the mother's eyes gazed past her,, suddenly scrambling to get to her feet. A harsh alpha who refused that the mother's pups would be kept in the pack. But he had found them.
Death
The wolf lunged forward and D̸͍͇̳̼̍͊͊̿ẹ̷͚͔̱̩͕̊l͍̼̗ͨͭ͂ͥ͠i̵̤̺͋ḽ̶̬̗̩͍̥͎͛̀̚ạ͍̓̀ͅh͕̣͕̭̪̘̫̱́̿́ ̶̺̭ͩ̾̎̀ pressed herself back, trying to keep him from the newborns before the sickening rush of blood down her neck. With a yelp, she snarled and bit, trying to get back but her eyelids drooped. Black filled her vision and the last she saw was the alpha standing over the pups.
Rebirth
It started with a warm feeling, not unlike the blood leaving her but in this case... returning? A passing squirrel paused at the shifting of the growth inside the cave, racing away with a shrill screech as it moved once more. The wolf shifted once more before going still.
A light. It danced. The wolf? The not wolf? follow its path lazily. A second, a third. They faded away. The not wolf closed their eyes.
It took three days before the moss grew and another day for the now spirit to awaken. There was an icy feel to the back on her neck, assuringly where they were killed. Minutes passed and D̸͍͇̳̼̍͊͊̿ẹ̷͚͔̱̩͕̊l͍̼̗ͨͭ͂ͥ͠i̵̤̺͋ḽ̶̬̗̩͍̥͎͛̀̚ạ͍̓̀ͅh͕̣͕̭̪̘̫̱́̿́ ̶̺̭͙ͩ̾̎̀..... D̸͍͇̳̼̍͊͊̿ẹ̷͚͔̱̩͕̊l͍̼̗ͨͭ͂ͥ͠i̵̤̺͋ḽ̶̬̗̩͍̥͎͛̀̚ạ͍̓̀ͅh͕̣͕̭̪̘̫̱́̿́ ̶̺̭͙ͩ̾̎̀? Not anymore. A small woosh of wind and a whispered, Pren... Pwdr.... Prennn it was almost teasing. Safe.... safe now! the whispers repeated and the spirit looked around, noting the small gathering of lights. Pren Pwdr. Safe now.
Unfolding their... her? Her limbs from the mossy cave, she looked around. Three small piles of bone. The pups. She nosed around and the small lights that were still around buzzed softly. So she dug a grave. Just enough to fit the small bones into.
But soon enough Pren stepped out of the cave, the prints from the wolves that had killed her long gone. It must've been at least a few years she had missed. There were some prints, mainly of doe and other prey animals, but no wolf prints.
She needed to visit the pack.... why? What was there? Mother! Friend! Piped up the small lights and clarity struck. The mother. Her old friend. A voice bubbled up, revenge... and the ones around her switched, whispering along but Pren shook them away. "Help. Guide. They may be dead today in any case." And the whispers were silenced. So she set out, padding along the barely there path and back to where she had once lived.
The pups crowd around the spirit, yipping and bounding around before she settles them down, heavy paws pinning young ones lightly, picking them up and moving them to gather close. "What do you want to hear about today? The ferocious beasts of the coniferous forest, how the wild and whispering wind came to tear through our forests? Or something soft, how the wolves came to roam the lands, why the clouds gather around Diota's fur or how the flames on Tawel's coat never go out?"
"The beasts!! Pleaseee!!" "No, Diota's clouds!" "Shhh, I wanna learn about the wolves!" the voices echoed and Pren laughs, digging her claws into the ground as she lies close to the young ones. "How about I tell you about our first alpha? That's a bit of a mix." There were grumbles and huffs but one pup perked up, tail wagging. "You mean Eira? Eira and Enya? Yes, yes, please!!" They bounded closer, stumbling over another pup but sat down, attention focused on Pren. "Alright, settle down, quiet down and listen close...."
The wind swirled yet another gust of frigid wind into the sides of the wolves. Fire and ice, Enya and Eira. "Tala...!? Tala, where are you?" Eira called, met with the howling of the wind and whispers of doubt. The black wolf had left them, stuck in this damned storm! Enya plowed forward, pitching to the side with the wind but managing to meet Eira, huddling close. "There, see those vines? We'll shelter near them, the rock wall might help keep some snow off us." The grey wolf called over the wind and the pair struggled towards the wall of vines. Panting and shivering they managed to brush against the wall. A small shadow, a dip in the wall would be better to shelter in and of course they moved towards it. Eira stepped forward and paused, sniffing before moving sideways and letting Enya go in first. The red she-wolf moved forward, claws sinking into the snow before a sharp click and a yelp as Enya slipped, sliding into a tunnel. The sound of water splashing followed and Eira hurried forward, sliding down a little more carefully. "Enya! Enya, are you okay?" She called, stopping to sniff at her... friend.
"Don't laugh like that, it's quite rude. This is the story of your pack after all." Pren scolded before taking a breath and continuing.
Enya groaned and got up again, looking towards the end of the tunnel. "Eira, stop that, I'm fine, it was a slip but look! It's... it's amazing!" Eira huffed as Enya batted her away before they moved forward. A large clearing showed before them
