Mother Of The Stars
Brought from a pack far away, it was no secret that Andromeda would soon be the envy of all. Along with her sister Celeste, Andromeda quickly rose through the ranks and caught the eye of King Afterlife. Upon the day they were old enough, Afterlife asked Andromeda to be his mate for life and future mother of the stars. While other females have bore pups to her mate, Andromeda knows he only has eyes for her.
Andromeda used to be a firm believer in The Watcher. That nothing could be done to shake that faith. However, upon having her first litter of pups, something within her changed. One of her pups died in the first month of it's tiny life. An infection from an insect bite that couldn't be controlled. He passed in the night, to his mother's heartbroken howls. He was given a name upon his death, Alistair, one to be remembered as the first pup to have suffered this way. Andromeda was angry. How could this have happened to her of all wolves. To lose a child so precious and so young. Her faith began to waiver. Why hadn't The Watcher done more to protect her infant son. It was hard to come to terms with. Even though he had been the smallest of the litter, there was a fire in the little one before he passed. He would've grown up strong and so, Andromeda grieved.
In the time since Alistair passed, none of her other pups had been anything special to note. Andromeda watched with jealousy at her sister Celeste's children. Each litter of them had produced a child that would become the center of Afterlife's attention. The newest pup, Aster, had his pelt blessed by the spirit of the stars. Andromeda's feelings were clouded by nothing but anger and disappointment towards The Watcher and her sister.
