• completely gender apathetic as well as gender non-conforming, he sees no need for roles assigned at birth
• despite his view on gender stated above, he does, biologically, identify as male
• scruffy and unkempt medium length, dark, honey-yellow fur with fluctuating levels throughout his pelt
• little to no respect as an alpha by his subordinates, he decides when patrols and missions are carried out, but significant resolutions are discussed communally within his pack
• little to no respect as an alpha by maverick packs, his lack of control over his members is generally viewed as weakness, though Camillus was never the type to fuss over subjects like power
• despite his appearance, his immune system is strong, making him one of the most consistently reliable hunters within his current and former communities

The comically bitter and snide bigwig that 'rules' alongside his childhood best friend Dimitri. Their... suspiciously close relationship draws the attention of anyone they come across. One can only wonder whether the two cronies are anything more than friends.
Dimitri can confirm that he's been cattish since adolescence, always sneaking in a remark or two every chance he gets. All his peers generally assume he's just a regular old narcissist but is that really true? Dimitri swears against it up and down.
Camillus was sired by a delta of 'The Gallants', a brawny group of bachelors that traverses across the land, never a night in the same location. Camillus' father met his mother, Mina, while he was out securing a new camp. Charmed, Mina followed the wight per his request in order to pursue a relationship with him further.
Woefully for the optimistic young girl, her lover disappeared. If you ask anything about his vanishing, she'll tell you she's unaware of what happened. But something just makes you think she knows more than she's letting on.
For young Camillus, he was never even told his father's name. Always kept in the dark about his father's bleak history in his mother's life up until puberty. However youthful Camillus never really thought the narrative was worth trailing, not until his elderly grandmother's ultimatum.
After Camillus turned 14 months old, his faction's seniors made a cryptic demand of him.
You see, Mina was born into an interesting group, they referred to themselves as 'Serenity' Serenity had been founded ages ago and has since been split up into numerous divisions named factions, all lead by the faction's elderly members. Only the most aged wolf may keep in touch with other Serenity; meaning that if the leading elder is senile, the faction will have no way of keeping in touch with other Serenity. This makes each faction unique and runs differently.
Some Serenity has younger wolves enforce discipline while the seniors guide and raise the generations, some revere the seniors and trust them with the welfare of the faction as a whole, and others hold ballots for which senior should lead.
The inner workings of the Serenity remain unknown, none have shared who enforces the set rules of no contact between factions, they just know that it's definitely operating, and operating effectively at that.
When Camillus had turned 14 months old, he had been informed by his faction's elders that it was the will of 'The Earth' that he leaves by winter to find the 'Rivera'; only granted the company of a member of his choice.
After questioning the seniors of the legitimacy of their statements, he was told the Rivera was what they called 'True Strength' and that the earth itself wishes for Camillus' heart to clasp it. According to the senior's retelling of The Earth's demands, they intend for Camillus to use Rivera to gather the Serenity to reveal its cause for existing in the first place.
Camillus and the member he chose to join him were warned that if they stray away from their mission after accepting it, or break the set of principles they were given to follow strictly that they would earn the animosity of The Earth itself.
What they were referring to as 'the earth' remains unknown, though there is much speculation around it, nothing can confirm whether it's literal or metaphorical.

The Message
Congratulations, you are now a possible host.
Unfortunately, The Earth cannot share much but we can share this. If you agree to the following you will be granted the opportunity to alter life as you know it for the better.
Let us keep this short. If you are on the receiving end of this message they request that you, yourself, and a faction member of your choice, set out on a voyage in pursuit of Rivera, or, as many would call it, true strength. You will wield this gift gracefully and thoughtfully.
After you acquire Rivera, you will assemble Serenity. After you make your decision, you must abide by The Principles.
That is all we may relay.

The Principles
The principles that The Earth insists Camillus obey consist of the following.
1.) Do not use your capability against your kind, or any kind.
2.) Do not use your potential lightly, make every decision thorough and well thought out. Rivera does not need an impulsive host.
3.) The life of the member that you chose to follow you is now joined with your own. Do not bear your lives sparingly.
4.) Pay no heed to any lesson your faction has taught you about pack structure. View beliefs made by other groups of wolves as you would your own.
5.) Prioritize the younger generation. They are the future. We will not survive without them.
7.) Any obstruction of these rules will make you a traitor.
8.) We do not sympathize with traitors.
