EGRET

FROM RAGS TO RICHES. EGRET had always been quite the trouble maker. from birth, the pack knew they needed to rid her of their attention. not to say she wasn't loved, it was just hard to do so. she'd always play where she was expressly told not to or steal food from her fellow pups with no regrets. anything, anything to get attention thrown her way.

little did she know, there was no need to fight for eyes much longer. a younger wolf, yet still older then her, had come into their territory early in the cloudy morning. she had overheard his name only a few times, always under hushed breaths. KADID. a visitor was exciting, but hearing that he was looking for a pup was even more tantalizing.

lined up in a stiff row they all stood, except for egret, whom was fidgeting around so much that many of her fellow pups had to nudge her in the arm or rib to get her to focus. as the male moved along the line, she couldn't help the yips of excitement that bubbled from her chest. the moment he laid eyes on her, it seemed they had both known that, yes, she was the one.

egret, more commonly known as PRINCESS EGRET now, settled in perfectly. delicate food fit for a queen, wide open expanses of forest, a royal feline, and even a best friend she would be soon to fancy! it was all hers! and the best part? every eye was always on HER.
