The Summer King

A pup from Vera's last litter before her passing. He was chosen to lead the pack.

The young king is still very inexperienced and the pack is worried about how lightly he seems to be taking his responsibilities. They are still well fed and safe for now, but the chill winter is on the wind.

It was decided by the older pack members that Valerian needed someone to help him rule. A mate. Someone experienced. It was unanimous that Foc would be a good fit as she is an excellent hunter, was born into the pack, and of a good bloodline. Valerian is unsure of this decision, she is much older and they don't seem to have much in common. He's not certain Foc even likes him, but he has gone along with it as to not upset the others.

After Valerian and Foc's first litter he was able to break the pair bond as she was getting too old for bearing pups and as alpha he needs a spare heir. Many argue that one of the pups he has with Foc should be heir, but it's a general consensus that there's nothing wrong with a back up. The forest is dangerous and things do happen.

Valerian is intrigued by a newcomer to the pack. A wolf named Adalet. She came from the Sheer Cliffs pack. A close ally pack since the early days of his mothers rule. She's not very friendly, and very blunt, but she never makes Valerian feel stupid. He wants to get to know her better.
