i dont like anything here gotta rewrite the whole thing

many wolves say Frozen Lakes is always angry, always complaining about something, always pissed off. that he's not pleasant to be around. but really, if they had the same life as him, they'd understand.

first off, his dad was a dog, which made him a wolfdog. and just because of that, everyone thought he should become a royal servant. and it's not that he disagreed with them, he was just so annoyed that others thought they knew what was best for him. no one had ever even considered he might've wanted to become a hunter instead! (which, well, he didn't. but he didn't want to be a royal servant either. in a perfect world, he'd be allowed to do nothing while food just magically appeared in front of him)

part of Lakes wanted to become a hunter just piss his family off. but he knew that if he did, they'd just complain even more to him and every time he came home, they'd say "oh, but you had so much potential! you would've made the finest royal servant the kingdom has ever seen!" and he did not want to deal with that, thank you very much.

so, he did what everyone and their mom wanted, and trained to be a servant. he hoped that, if he did terrible in his training, he'd be allowed to become a hunter instead. but no, fate wasn't on his side, because the royal family approved him (did they really value wolfdogs that much? he was sure there other wolves who did way better than him).

fine. Lakes was a royal servant now. he was just going to spend the rest of his days calmly patrolling the kingdom's borders, which actually wasn't so bad - and, wait, no, nevermind, because now the royal family wants him to go on a mission to find a royal pup who went missing more than a year ago and is most likely dead. wipppp

smth abt him being annoyed that he has no idea where to even start, him finding moth and actually being happy for once but then annoyed again that moth acts like she doesnt know what the northern kingdom is, annoyed that she wont come with him, annoyed that he has to convince her to go, annoyed that he has to spend time with a pack of wolves he doesnt know and dont know his religion nd culture, annoyed when moth asks to talk to him privately, annoyed when she claims the royal elders kill common wolves to strengthen their own magic and most of all annoyed that literally nothing in his life ever goes the way he wants it to. hes a very annoyed lad

also annoyed at his mom for the stupid ass name. like, lakes? why is it plural? hes just one wolf. she keeps saying its cuz frozen lakes sounds prettier than frozen lake but he hates it. it only sounds better if you say his full name! calling one single wolf "lakes" is dumb. he hates his name
