Though he tells a story where he was once called 'Fenrir', this wolf has chosen his name as something that means 'a fast wit and keen mind are better tools than fleet paws and sharp teeth; beware arrogance and hubris and do not make false estimations of someone or something just because they do not run' (Arrogance). He will still answer to his old name, but nobody who knows better calls him by it as he will remember and the next time you get injured or fall ill he will make life very unpleasant for you.
Arrogance is the smartest wolf to have joined the Persistent to date, and he's very aware of that fact. They say he parlayed with Inevitable one night at the edge of their territory and, despite his unpleasant demeanor, he followed her to their cave with his dusk-red eyes and knowing smirk. He knows he is needed; they depend on him, and he is all too happy to serve! For a price. This land is not so simple as food and shelter. There is a network of resources and trade and, so long as the Persistent are willing to pay, Arrogance is more than willing to cure what ails them. Outside of these transactions, he generally keeps to himself.
Rumor says he isn't fully wolf. His odd mottled markings and striking eyes are unusual enough but his intellect and background are just as foreign.
