Upon exploring her new territory she shared with Kenai, Haven stumbled upon a vast lavender field that was layered with the light pastel hues of the sunset. The dirt below her was soft and and gave way to the weight of her paws as she wondered along. The aroma of lavender filled her senses and made her close her eyes to take in the relaxing scent.
Pushing through the tall stalks, she hears something, or someone digging into the fresh soil. She lowers her head to enter a stalking position and slowly moves along towards the sound. She tries to pick up any scent that can give her a hint of who or what is up ahead of her, but the overwhelming smell of lavender overpowers anything she could possibly pick up. Her curiosity gets the better of her rationality, but she justifies it by convincing herself that the possibility of prey is worth the risk, and she finally reaches the threshold of where the small clearing the noise was coming from and the field that hid her.
