Biography
Gifted to the pack by Tawny! 
"Ember's past is... fuzzy at best. I still remember when Lance and Niall returned with her that crisp winter morning. It's hard to describe the look in their eyes as they came wandering through the snow with a pitch black ball of fur struggling to keep up with them as it bounced behind Niall, trying to jump in the holes left by his paws. Likely as much for fun as to make things easier for herself.
She was very young, just a month or two older than the current litter in the pack and I'm guessing that was the cause of the conflicting expressions of the pair leading her. Why was such a little one all alone in this world? They introduced Ember to the pack and she was welcomed eagerly by the pups and youngsters. She was shy at first, but warmed up to them quickly. I stuck to the background, new to the pack as I was and watched from afar. It felt nice to not be the newest wolf around anymore.
When the greetings and introductions were over and Ember was busy playing with Alice, Coda and Dusty, I discreetly walked up to Lance and asked him more about her. He saw that my questions came from genuine curiosity, but said that there wasn't much he could tell me despite that. Ember was entrusted to our pack by a new friend named ReiRei, another pack leader who had helped and guided Lance at times when he felt lost. Through her, they had learned that Ember was born, she was adopted, but she couldn't stay. There were reasons for it, but those were not given. In the end, I suppose it doesn't matter.
I thanked our leader for his time and wandered off to skulk in the outskirts as I normally did. After only a few steps, I paused. There was a strange noise behind me and I looked over my shoulder just in time to see Ember stumble into my back leg. I turned around to make sure that she was alright, only to be met by the brightest little smile I'd ever seen and an assurance that she was just peachy.
We stared at each other afterwards and there was this immediate connection between us. Maybe she sensed it before I did and that's why she decided to run after me of all the wolves in the pack. This little pup had gone through a lot during her short time in this world, yet she hadn't lost her optimistic and cheerful outlook on life. I've always admired her for it.
As I looked into those burning yellow eyes, my path was laid out before me. She was my pup, I was her guardian and I would move mountains and shatter the skies in order to keep her safe."
