☾ Firefly ☽

Firefly trods forward through the river of the hillside, her eyes relax among the landscape and just ahead of her, two wolves stand.

She would soon learn that these wolves are known as Tala and Axel, and that Tala was eagerly trying to get Axel to approach her. As she came into view of Axel, the other wolves' tail raised to establish some form of dominance, and her own tail drops instinctively.

"I won't hurt you." She states softly as Axels' tail relaxes.

Axel then took a step forward and sniffed at Firefly's neck, causing her to take a step back, Axel smiles at her.

And then, suddenly, Axel raises her head and howls a beautifully powerful melody, and Firefly can't help but do the same... And now, she has a home.

Firefly sits hunched down, her face close to the dirt as she is obviously drained from her last hunt, Axel's ears prick as she smiles down on Firefly, lifting the carcass that the wolf returned to their pack with.

Axel sits further away, dropping the meal and turning to Firefly, who remained put.

"Are you okay?" Axel whines, her tail, which was previously wagging at the pride of her pack member bringing back food, stopped.

"I just don't know if I'm cut out for hunting." Firefly said, turning away as to not face Axel, ashamed of her words.

"That's alright." Axel states plainly, and Firefly turns back to her.

"I'm sure the pups would love you!"
