Nix ♛

Nix was a lone wolf, she had just become an adult and decided to leave her original pack. She wandered alone for a little while before Tala introduced her to Rubicund, another young lone wolf who had left her pack. Nix and Rubicund were quick friends, and sometimes made friendships with a few other wolves that would come and go. Soon, though, they made more solid friendships, and their small friendship grew to a friend group, which then grew even more. Eventually, she and Rubicund were the leaders of a solid pack that has grown to nearly 50 solid members.

Nix was the first scout, and was the wolf who fully discovered a majority of the biomes during Rubicund's leadership. She was a major factor in expanding their pack's range and known territory, along with meeting other packs and forming diplomatic bonds with them. Though, near the end of her life, she stepped down from her role as scout since she wasn't as capable of traveling such large distances anymore, and instead stayed at the main base, helping take care of the pups of the pack.

Nix, who was originally very closed off and scared due to her past and being a loner, had become a very trusting and secure wolf, even somewhat extroverted and optimistic. Her friendship with Rubicund and the pack helped her find genuine comfort and emotional safety. Her long lasting friendship with Rubicund eventually changed, and turned into a romantic partnership. She and Rubicund began to adopt many abandoned, unwanted, or orphaned pups, taking them into the pack and raising them communally in the pack. As they grew older and older, they realized they would need an heir to carry on caring for the pack when they're gone. Originally, Nix was female, as was Rubicund, and so Nix went to The Grove and received a potion that changed her sex to male, so that she and Rubicund could have pups of their very own. Despite this though, Nix still considers her gender to be female.

Nearing the end of their lives, though, Rubicund and Nix became very anxious, while they were happy and content with their lives, they didn't want to leave the pack that they had worked so hard protecting and caring for. They decided to travel together to The Grove to both use the magical jellyfish to become immortal. This change, though, had powerfully bonded them to otherworldly powers and elements. Nix was bonded to the cold and to plant life, her body temperature dropped and her eyes and flesh became a bright green, mushrooms began growing in her presence. This spiritually represented her resilience and growth in life, despite the coldest winters or long distances, she continued to live, to thrive. Her personal growth, the growth of their territory, the growth of the pack... and now she will continue to be there to help it grow and persevere.

Nix and Rubicund do not yet fully understand their powers, they don't know what they're capable of, the extent to which they can exert their abilities, or even how to control them and wield them. For now, though, they're keeping it minimal.
