Moss is barely out of puppyhood herself and she's already enthusiastically helping out the other sitters. She knows raising responsible litters will be beneficial for the good of the entire pack.
Even if the majority of those younger than her are wild, unruly, and mostly ungrateful... she knows it will pay off. She has the energy to bounce around picking up pups and bringing them away from the danger of the clearing outside of the den.
However, when Bone approaches her and promises her a position as a chaser with the ability to provide for her pack, it just makes sense to join him. Besides, once she saw her career through to the end, she could settle down and watch as many puppies as she wanted, with exceptional agility to keep up with the trikes.
She accepts, and starts training with Bone that night.
