Like all daughters of Lady Frode, Astrid was expected to leave her home pack as soon as she reached the age of 6 moons. Lady Frode did not like having other females around, seeing them a threat to her leadership in the matriarchal society.
Astrid was a confident young wolf, and trusted in her abilities to be able to make her own pack, a pack less dominated by matriarchal rules and more equal between it’s members. Though, of course, Astrid wanted to be on top.
She travelled south, across the land of Norway, towards the high peaks of a mountain always visible in the distance, but so far away at the same time. It reached into the clouds and pointed towards the stars, Astrid was determined to make it her home.
Her perseverance would eventually pay off, as she set her paws on the craggily stones at the base. Higher and higher, she found a cave to stay the night in. It was perfect.
