It was a moonless night, so quiet you could hear the mice skittering beneath the dirt. Alloy was in the main entrance, along with Tuesday, as they were usually on guard duty.
Alloy had nearly fallen asleep when a faint call came from the entrance. Sparkling Minnows, Gnome's main helper, squeezed through the small, burrow-like entrance.
"Alloy? Tuesday?"
Alloy startled awake, "Uh, Gnome? Is that you?"
"No, It's Minnow."
"Why are you here so late?"
"I've brought a friend- two friends."
And soon, another wolf joined them.
"This is Silhouette and Sunflower, they are a polycephaly survivor, which is quite interesting as the mutation is lethal. Sunny here is mute as his vocal chords never properly developed, Silhouette can talk just fine. .The two's brains seemed to be connected- that or they share a singular brain.Their old pack thought of them as a curse, and because of that, they nearly killed the two of them. We could've kept them around, but our pack is much too open to the public with the shop and all. Their pack may find them and try to finish the job-"
"But doesn't this other wolf have a shop too..? Sunny saw the board outside.." Silhouette mumbled, questioning their safety.
"You have a shop?"
"it's fairly new, but yes."
"Well- Still. You may have a shop, but it's still new and much more secluded."
"Are you sure this is the safest option?"
"I'm sure."
Alloy nodded, and that night, it was settled. Silhouette and Sunflower would stay here and live their life in safety.
