- Valeriya approached her and sighed. "I always wanted my pack to stand for something. I will retire to the heavens soon, my last wish is for the legacy of a pack me and Artyom leave behind, to be a legacy that stands for something good." the alpha paused for a while, and then thoughtful asked, "What do you stand for, little one?"
The young she-wolf titled her head. She was hesitant to tell her more traditional alpha her true feeling, but she knows that it's better, to be honest than not stand for what she believes in. "I think everyone deserves to love who they want to love. Regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation ... anything. Hate shouldn't be something that stops us from expressing a side of ourselves."
Valeriya looks at her and smile. The young wolf continues "And it shouldn't be a thing people support or join in only for performative activism. It should be a norm, to be compassionate and accepting of everyone. No matter how different they are from us. We don't have to share the same views, just be open to accepting how others differ from us, and that it's a good thing."
Valeriya has heard enough, she knew that one day, this wolf would go on to do great things. The alpha stops her "You will have your naming ceremony soon. From today, we will start a new tradition. Wolves can choose to be named for a cause they stand for. When the time comes, you will get a choice. Do you have one in mind?"
The she-wolf smiles, pleasantly surprised that her alpha embraces the new ideas and wants a future where wolves not only live to survive, but for a greater purpose. She thinks about the question for a moment, before deciding on an answer: "Love Always Wins." 🌈
