Her early childhood proved to be particularly challenging. With her multicoloured pelt shades of the Aurora Borealis, Novae stood out quite distinctly, resulting in her being teased and picked on. Even as she got older, it didn't get easier.

Whilst tagging along with the hunting team, she caused them to lose multiple preys as she was unable to camouflage in the forest greenery. Ciaran decided it would be better if she were to work alongside Daithi, the Herbalist. But her focus and attention span failed to satisfy the expectations.

The last option was to be a Scout, but that required confidence, something Novae severely lacked. Síomha, volunteered to guide and take Novae with her, a decision that surprised many in the pack. She was quiet and distant, spending most of her time around and beyond the territory. But she was patient and willing to assist him in making the best version of himself.

Novae learnt many things, even about Síomha, who hadn't trusted to tell anyone else. They grew closer, sharing a bond alike a daughter and mother.
