You look around for a certain pup, your ears pricked as you trudge along the undergrowth. Twigs and leaves jut out of the greenery as you pad off, your nose lifting to the sky to spot any drifting scents. Finally, you hear a small humming from around the corner. You follow the soft hum, only to spot Coco and Angus beside the river, together. “Do you think I can swim this river, Coco? Like the other adolescent?” Angus yapped towards the gray, brown pup beside him. Coco cocked his head, “I mean, maybe. But you’ll probably drown since you haven’t had any experience with swimming..” he replied bluntly, touching the water gently with his paw. “It’s cold. Not only would you might also drown, but if you were to swim back to shore, you’ll probably catch hypothermia. Which could lead to death.” Angus sighed, “Wow, gotta be pessimistic, huh?” The other pup chuckled, “It’s what I do best!”
You bound forward, the two youngsters noticing you within an instant. The duo jumped to their paws, “Sorry, sorry! We weren’t supposed to be out here, we’re so sorry!” Angus apologized frantically, nudging Coco as he waited for a response. “Yeah, but I didn’t do anything, to be honest. I wasn’t the one planning to jump into the river and drown, was I?” You sigh and beckon for the two to follow, both reluctantly obey but follow you either way.
Coco isn’t the best at being optimistic during situations. Instead, he’s rather pessimistic and thinks the worst of situations. He doesn’t try to be, but it’s not like he could HELP it. He finds other’s reactions quite funny, and he enjoys being like this. All that aside, he’s genuinely a good friend. His siblings have reported the young pup being a protective brother and tends to lead the group to make sure one of them doesn’t go astray. He makes sure each and every one of his siblings are okay and will stand by their side whenever they need him. But the thing about him being protective, he doesn’t like his own siblings endangering themselves. Some would say he’s a tattletale, a snitch. But seeing as what happened to Murky and Everett, he genuinely doesn’t want to lose his siblings.
Coco also spends time around Angus, the pup who had lost his siblings, Murky and Everett. Coco makes sure that Angus is doing okay, and will comfort him whenever Angus needs him.
