Reef is a warmhearted wolf that acts as a father figure to the pack's adopted pups. Having been taken in as an orphan himself, he does everything he can to make the youngsters comfortable in their new home. He is highly respected among his packmates, being the kind and compassionate soul he is. Despite his gentle temperament he has a competitive spirit. Being an orphan left him with the need to be the best at everything to ensure his survival, after all, no pack wants to take in a weak pup when there are hundreds of hunter-borns to choose from.
Being the youngest pup of his litter, he struggled to compete for food and attention from his parents. He was eventually cast out, his weakness considered a disgrace to his parents' names. In his time with Lillemor, the bear, he met another pup around his age. The two grew close, but Reef's competitiveness drove a wedge between them. Their relationship turned sour, fueled by the jealousy of the once inseparable playmates. He spent some time with another pack, training as a hunter before setting off on his own. He came across the Minori on his travels, and with permission from the leader, he was allowed to stay. While he no longer strives to beat everyone at everything, he is still very protective of his food, as some of the pups had to learn the hard way.
Reef has no mate, easily kept busy by his pack duties and caring for the pups.
