Barleypelt

Pre-blazing ashes
Barleypelt was born in a litter of three pups. Barley as his mother named him was the only member of his litter that survived into adolescence. He had been close with both of his siblings and was deeply hurt when they died. Once he became an adolescent Barley left his mother and father to find an actual pack. The first wolf he met was a scout, who to his surprise wasn't hostile. Barley was going to ask to speak with her leader, but became nervous and started to retreat.
"oh no, you aren't!"
The scout quite literally Dragged Barley to her camp, where he was greeted by an amused Orange -eyed wolf.
"oliveleaf my friend who is this?"
"uh....I didn't ask..... he was going to flee so I dragged them here."

Barley though afraid explained his situation to the wolf, he figured that he had nothing to lose by asking.
"Of course, you can join! The blazing ashes welcomes you."

Barley wanted to keep his name so Ashblaze made a compromise and named him Barleypelt. The scout wolf he met insisted he would make an excellent scout and even said she'd help with training. Barleypelt learned fast and grew close to his pack mates, his pessimistic attitude often amused Oliveleaf.
"how'd you do?"
"crappy didn't help that the weather was crappy too."
*snickers* "of course you'd have a bad time scouting grasslands."
