When he was young Pupperino's family was traveling to find a new home and passed rather close to a human settlement. Being a curious young pup, he snuck around that night to investigate this strange world of the two leggers. While he was out he got tangled badly in an old unkempt fence line. Trapped, badly hurt, and terrified, he howled for his parents, but there was nothing they could do to free him. They lamented his fate to the heavens, knowing he would die from starvation or be killed by another predator, perhaps even a human,, once they left.
Shockingly, later that day he was approached by humans, humans who did...something...to him from afar that made him pass out. When he awoke he was freed of the fencing, but still entrapped, locked in a strange rock and metal room. Even stranger, the humans where providing him food, and doing something to make his wounds heal faster than any he'd ever seen! After he was healthy again they released him back into the wild.
Though he's very grateful for all they did, he will never forget that his wounds and the tragic separation from his family was causd by humans and their strange ways, in addition to his own regretful curiosity. After being freed Pupperino set out to make his place in the world, to lead a pack even, being careful to watch over his new family closely because he does not think he could live with the heartbreak of loosing his loved ones again.
