Thames was the kind of puppy to run off any chance he could. He would escape the pupsitters every chance he got; he didn't need them to baby him. He would go for little walks by himself, catch and snack on squirrels by himself, and go for little swims- you guessed it -all by himself. He was constantly scolded; saying he would drown, he would get himself hurt, he would get lost. He never did. His pack was growing far too large, and there were too many pups to watch for them to constantly keep a close eye on him. When a white wolf came, the same one that took Symphony, the pack was relieved. Apparently Symphony had been flourishing and studying medicine for the short time she had been there. When Daewn had heard that the pack was still too crowded, she came back. Thames instantly volunteered. He didn't wait to see if Daewn wanted him, or if the pack would allow it. He ran home, told Symphony's mother the news, and then raced home to pack his collection of bones and feathers. He wanted to study and become a Mentor just like Symphony had! He kissed his mother goodbye and took off, lest Daewn leave without him. Surprisingly, Daewn was sitting right outside his door! She demanded he say goodbye to his father and his friends as well. Thames didn't have any friends, but he did say farewell to the other pups his age and promised his father he would make him proud. This would be the adventure of a lifetime. Thames may be independent, but he would be the best pack mate Beastenguard ever had!
