Ailurus used to be an incredibly helpful wolf. She had a large family, and as one of the eldest siblings she needed to assist in the care of the younger pups. While Ailurus didn't mind this when she was younger, as she grew into a lady it began to bother her. She didn't have time to make friends because her parents needed her help. She didn't look as nice as the other wolves because she was constantly covered in blood to help hunt for her family. Her time in the woods became her only reprieve, the only moments of silence she could have. When it came time to begin looking for a mate, not a single boy would look at her; who wanted to marry into a family with so many children when they too would be forced to take on heaps of responsibility? It was with a heavy but determined heart Ailurus decided to run away from home. She would join a new pack, fall in love, and hopefully never have pups of her own. All she wanted was to be seen for what she could do, not for what she could offer others. After bathing and scrubbing the mud and blood out of her coat she almost didn't recognize herself! Not only had her nature changed from helpful to selfish, but she was beautiful! Her stunning red panda fur, her stormy eyes, she hadn't realized how pretty she was before. Ailurus' heart lightened; she was worth looking at. She had so much more to offer than being an honorary den mom. She could hunt with the best and look good doing it too. She joined the Beastenguard pack as one of the Chasers in "Kingdom", and was overjoyed to be treated her age by the other female hunters. She vowed she would never let herself get overlooked again, or take a single minute of her freedom for granted. Sometimes when looking at a young pup she would get homesick, but she knows they only saw her for her abilities, not for who she was. Her new family was the polar opposite, and she knew this was where she belonged.
