Phausis was never given to dalliances, distractions or disorder. He showed little to no interest in other wolves- males, females or otherwise. He had a sharp, single minded focus that could've been applied to any aspect of pack life... if he so desired.
What Phausis REALLY wanted to do was take care of pups. He had fond memories of his father, the late pupsitter, entertaining them all with stories of magic and wonder. He remembered how safe it felt to curl up to his side in a crush of his littermates when the rest of the pack had gone hunting. Yes, the best application of his skills was to the future of the pack, and offering new pups the same comfort he fondly remembered.
