The large form that appears in front of you seems to materialize from the darkness. His eyes produce a residual light, so faint you can almost dismiss it. His thick fur is bristled and upright, increasing the apparent size of this wolf-dog. His fur is dark, yet bi-colored only for the fact of a white splash on his front breast, trailing lightly up to his throat before disappearing into the black. The sun rays would sometimes catch his dark coat with a brilliant firey oak sheen.
It is said his mother was a pure German Shepherd, although others dismiss it, for Sirius's features resemble a wolf almost in their entirety, save for his slightly smaller stature and lean build. His father, a victim of a hunter's desire for a unique trophy, was a dark-coated wolf himself, so there may be some debate on whether there's "dog" heritage on both sides. But that's neither here nor there. Sirius has worked his weight and bore the battle scars of guiding his pack through freezing blizzards, across treacherous ravines and glaciers, and braved various enemies of the wilderness head-on for the sake of the ones he called a pack.
It meant more to him than anything to see the ones he loved live harmoniously with the world around them, but the only thing that sometimes weighs on his mind is the very delicate balance he has with his existence. That is a reality where he ponders over the dog companions that accompany the very creatures that wiped his father off the face of the Earth.
A reality where the separation of man and wilderness can become difficult in an ever-changing world.
