Biography
The alpha Quincy of the Star Drifter Pack is a very loved and respected wolf amongst the wolves.
Before becoming the alpha Quincy was a lone wolf in the wild, keeping to herself as much as possible while also enjoying things within her life without the tie to a pack or even pups. The Tundra was a very cold and harsh place to be but Quincy lived on her own just fine, she's a strong and head strong individual wolf. One day during the spring, she was out by a stream eating fish before she heard the sound of water splashing further down the stream where she was met with the sight of a red, orange, and black spotted wolf. Quincy quickly moved from his line of sight watching him intently, the male's body language was relaxed as if he does not feel a pair of eyes looking for any hint of aggression or agitation. The male would stay for a few moments before he leaves leaving behind a turkey carcass which Quincy took before going to her own den deep in the Tundra. Quincy would return to the stream every few days and she would somehow see the wolf every time.
This routine would last for a month before Quincy approached the male, "You are here awfully a lot." Her tone cool and even, the male would grin at her with his tail wagging a bit. "Well I couldn't help coming back. There's always a perfect and a wolf hidden within these parts that seems to think I never caught or knew they were watching me." He chuckled at seeing Quincy with an annoyed expression. "My name is Rook. Pleased to finally officially meet you." Rook would bow his head towards her which irritated Quincy before she turned away from him and walked away, once he noticed her leaving he would run after her and kept talking to her trying to find out more about her.
"What's your name?"
"Quincy."
"Do you have a pack?"
"No."
"Do you want to join one?"
"No."
"Sure you do, packs are great. Especially mine."
"No."
Rook would keep asking her questions as the pair got closer to another river where Quincy 8would swipe a fish from the water and start eating while Rook kept trying to chat with her, flaunting every fact he knew about the fish and trying to direct her on how to eat it properly. This caused Quincy to shoot Rook a death glare which he only responded with a grin and kept talking. Soon this became a routine at least twice a week where Rook would come and talk to Quincy while she just glared or gave short responses to him. He would talk about how well he hunts and how he's one of the more successful hunters within his pack, Quincy became used to his chatter and would let him talk away to her for hours while she would be doing another task. He would sometimes help with these but usually she did not want help.
As days turned into weeks and weeks turn into months, Rook was the only wolf to see her soft natured side with a fierce personality which he fell in love with. He would do anything for her if she so simply even mentioned it in a casual conversation. Quincy fell in love with Rook, though he could be arrogant, he was still good to her and treated her well. Every so often he would still bring up joining his pack but every time she would refuse, stating she would rather be on her own. One night in the winter, Rook came to see her. He would poke his head into her den to see her resting peacefully and would slowly creep up beside her sleeping body and lay down with his head on top of hers with his tail laying on top of her body before falling asleep. In the morning, Quincy would be no where to be found while Rook looked around frantically calling out her name. "Quincy!" He would run out the den and try tracking her sent but it was so faint he could hardly tell, though he still tried to follow it with no luck. He decided the best thing to do was to wait for her to come back.
It was midday by the time she came back, dragging a caribou calf carcass behind her with a few scratches to her face. Rook sprinted towards her and helped her bring the carcass to the outside of her den where she gave a grin towards Rook, "I've been out all morning trying to get this calf, it was hard on my own but I got it." Quincy spoke proudly after the two of them sat there eating. There was a moment of silence for a while before Quincy spoke up again, "What's it like in a pack?" Rook raised his eyes to her, "It's like a family, we work together and share everything, we make sure everyone is doing well." Quincy nodded with him before mumbling, "I think it's time for me to join yours, if you will have me." Rook chuckled, "Of course we'll have you."
That day Quincy was welcomed to the pack with open arms with Rook right beside her. She would stay in the den with pups and pregnant she-wolves, helping out with them every so often since she refused Rook's offer to stay with him due to her own personal beliefs. Everyone around the pack could tell they were smitten for each other and a year later, Rook and Quincy were mated. They were almost always together and the pack loved them both dearly as they loved their alpha and his mate. The pack was at peace and they were hitting a point of growth but that didn't last for long.
The other pack within the Tundra saw their prosperity and wanted it for themselves so the other alpha came to the pack asking for a deal that the whole Star Drifter Pack saw as unfair, this caused the alpha to turn down the request. Many moons came and went before rumors were heard from neighboring packs that they were planning an attack which raised alarm amongst them, Rook led fighters and trained them throughly with his brother. Quincy would stay up late worrying but Rook would always dismiss her concerns while trying to reassure her that these were simple rumors but they'd rather take the measure just in case. The pack went through practice drills of where every wolf should hide, keeping the pups and pregnant she-wolves in the safest place while others were placed in different locations.
It was in the middle of the night when the warning howls were heard from the patrol wolves. Instantly every wolf was up and rushing to their hiding places while other wolves stood as guides to help them, Quincy tried to stay with Rook but he led her to a hiding place she did not know about and sealed it without him coming in. She would yell out to him and he did not return, she could do nothing but wait for him to return to her. There was plenty of food and access to water from where she was hiding, it took two days for some wolf within the pack to come get her. That was her first worry, "Where is Rook? Is Rook with you?" The wolf shook their head before turning on her heels.
Quincy followed the wolf closely before coming to what remained of the now ruins of the pack. Quincy's heart was heavy as lifeless wolves laid around though her eyes frantically searched for her Rook, she would run amongst the bodies before coming to the very center of the pack where there laid three wolves. Rook, his brother, and his brother's mate. Quincy stood there shocked, her blood ran as cold as the glaciers. She slowly approached the bodies with tears falling as she howled loud, full of sorrow and pain. She had lost the love of her life and her best friends.
It's been many moons since the war and the three deaths, the pack has an mourning date every 60 moons for them. Quincy had stepped into the role of alpha and carried the Star Drifter Pack to another land, one with better resources. She was kind to all her packmates and took their concerns seriously, she never turned a blind eye to mistreatment even with the pups. She was still very fun and lenient but she could be strict and harsh whenever it was necessary.
They now have more than ever before, though Quincy still thinks about Rook to sunrise until sunset. He's always on her mind as she follows what he believes in closely and made sure no one suffered.

The adolescent wolf stood tall, his black, grey and white fur glistening in the sun. He had never felt such excitement as he gazed out into the wilderness. He had always been content living with his loving pack, but now he felt a pull towards something greater, a desire to explore the unknown. His eyes, one white and one black, darted back and forth as he prepared to embark on this journey.
He took one step, then another, and before he knew it, he was bounding through the trees and over rocky terrain. The wind rushed past him, blowing his fur back as he ran. He felt free and unencumbered, a weight lifted from his shoulders.
