Your pup, Hyde, decided to try and play with some cute coyote pups, who felt that Hyde didn't need his entire ear after all. He returned to your den injured, bloodied, and with a chunk of his ear missing, but ultimately fine. Lesson learned.
Amber and Hyde both knew that their teamwork would fail, so Diablo paired them together. It started with snarling and growling but Diablo's gaze expressed more than any scolding would do.
Hyde tumbled down a hill and had his side snagged on a sharp, thorny branch on the way down. The wound will take time to heal - thankfully, Hyde does not seem too bothered.
Kira explained to Hyde that with bigger prey, you can wound them in vulnerable areas so that they are easier to take down. Hyde mimicked where she bit the carcass near the belly and ankles.

Hyde stalked the birds in silence. Focused and alert, he felt he was improving really fast and told π―πΎπππ it was his favorite lesson.
Hyde tried his new skills on real prey today. It worked with other pups earlier, but it won't always be so easy.
