Although Pasus is often worshipped as if she was a goddess, she is not -- although she is not necessarily a mortal, either. Loyal to no one but Pyralis, she was granted the gift of immortality nearly two hundred years ago, and she resides on her lonesome in a cave within the Gidhin mountains. She was once a prominent Soothsayer for the Throkkan, an extinct pack of fierce long-haired wolves said to descend from Gidhin's bloodline themselves, but fled as a young adult when the pack descended into a violent civil war. She continued to offer her services in her cold mountain cave, where only the most determined herbalists, wisemen, and Soothsayers from beyond the mountains would be able to visit her. Her talents were unheard of -- she could walk through the dreams of others each night, changing them as she pleased, turning nightmares into a dreamy escape for young pups and a golden morning into terror for those that deserved it.
Having heard of her dreamwalking abilities from Bhazec over the course of Pasus' lifespan, Pyralis descended from Wydr as the grizzled she-wolf grew frail. Initially mistaken as a traveler seeking aid for her facial scars, Pyralis had to halt Pasus from gifting her a dozen poultices -- but as soon as she spoke, Pasus became tense. Her blind eyes seemed to clear with recognition.
"Goddess," she croaked out, voice hoarse from idlement, "I could smell Wydr on your fur, but I second-guessed myself. Forgive me for not knowing your name."
"I am Pyralis," the goddess murmured, her soft voice reverberating in Pasus's mind and gentling her nerves. "I am here to make you an offer."
