Mona is currently working under agreement for The Evergreen pack. With winter quickly approaching, Shepherd has stricken a deal with 5 wolves in order to guarantee their mutual survival. These five, affectionately calling themselves the Misfit Hunters, will work as a hunting party in exchange for shelter and food over the winter. Of course, they're welcome to stay once the winter is over, but that decision will be up to each wolf, and largely dependent on how their time in the pack goes.
Mona, admittedly, has never felt very accepted. Born the runt in a highly anticipated litter, she struggled to find her footing among her siblings. Her sisters were beautiful, swift, and intelligent. Her brothers were dashing, strong, and sagely beyond their years. Mona was just... Mona. Attention, praise, and love were reserved for those above her. She had to quickly learn how to be self-sufficient to survive.
A few months after she became a yearling, she ended up straying a bit further than she should have on a patrol. Shepherd, mistaking her for a lone wolf, approached her with the work agreement. It was entirely against her nature to do something so rash, agreeing to follow a stranger home and leaving her pack to wonder about her fate. Still, she knew deep inside that she couldn't keep living as she had, and so she accepted. Mona had made her decision, only time will tell if it was the right one.
