Vulcan began life as a son of Alpha Kashtyn as a happy go-lucky, capcalbe little pup. Despite being young and inexperienced, he and his brother Oremy would explore the pack territory, or as far as their pupsitter Celeborn would allow. One day, the brothers snuck off together and went to explore the woods. It was all going smoothly until a very angry fox mother found them too close to her home. The pair ran and ran, and when Vulcan reached the pack territory he collapsed, laughing his little butt off. He had a small scratch but was no worse for wear past that.
It was then that Vulcan realized his brother Oremy was not, in fact, with him. The little pup had no idea where his brother had gone. Concerned, he admitted what they had done to Celeborn and waited anxiously within the safety of camp for word on his brother...
A Brother in the Stars

News travels fast in a pack so small as this. Vulcan's mother, the Alpha, was furious for the stupidity of her offspring. They were barely 1 and a half months old! Why in the world they had even gotten into the woods in the first place, she had no idea. However, things took a turn for the worst on the whole situation when senior scount Yuzda and her apprentice Chester returned with the body of Oremy. Though Vulcan wasn't allowed to see, his mother explained to him that his brother would not be returning.
His brother, friend and companion for all 1 and a half months of their short little lives up to that point was gone. He'd joined the stars above to watch over him, as his mother Kashtyn explained it to him. Vulcan grieved with his mother, but was too young to really understand what had happened to his brother at the time.
