The cold Alaskan wind blows through the fur of the young wolf as he stumbles out of the village of Bethel. Not fit to be a sled dog yet, or a hunter, he decides he'll go and find his own way. Find new packs, and different ways of life to explore.

Bethel finds himself in the east mountains, in the territory of another pack. Their scent markers leave a pungent oder in his nose. A howl in the distance tells him that they are close by, and not long after he stumbles upon a Burly, all black wolf. The wolf shudders awake and looks at the small pup. Nervous Bethel tucks his tail and lowers himself to the ground "sorry to disturb your sleep", he barks out quietly. The wolf lets out a chuckle "no need to be afraid kid, I don't bite", the corners of the wolf's mouth pull into a grin and his tail begins to wag. With the tension relieved Bethel stands and grins back, "what's your name mister?". The wolf drops into a play bow "Hendrix, you?", "it's Bethel". They play for a bit allowing Hendrix to feel like a pup again. Another howl sounds in the distance, Hendrix lifts up his head and howls back. "You have a place to stay kid?" he asks and tilts his head, "Um, no not really". Hendrix Tail begins to wag again and another howl echos in the distance "looks like you're coming home with me, Kaizen will put some food in your belly". Bethel nods enthusiastically and follows Hendrix back to the pack.
